As part of efforts to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment, the Delta State Waste Management Board (DSWMB), under the leadership of Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema, on Monday, March 1, 2025, carried out the evacuation of indiscriminately dumped waste along the Asaba/Benin Expressway, opposite FREDA EXPRESS Hotel, Agbor.
The exercise was supervised by Hon. Ndudi Cosmas Igbenije, Member representing Delta North in the Board, while the Agbor Field Office Supervisor, Kenneth Ezon Duwo, led the cleanup operation.
Duwo noted that the exercise is part of the board’s commitment to supporting Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which prioritizes environmental sustainability across Delta State.
He further appealed to residents to shun indiscriminate waste disposal and partner with the government in keeping the environment clean, assuring that the board remains committed to delivering a healthier Delta State.
