Delta State Waste Management Board Boosts Waste Evacuation on Old Lagos/Asaba Road

Agbor, Delta State – The Delta State Waste Management Board (DSWMB) has intensified waste evacuation efforts across the state as part of its mission to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Following the directive of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Matthew Mofe Edema, the Member representing Delta North, Hon. Igbenije Cosmas, led a team of DSWMB officials to clear solid waste dumps along Old Lagos/Asaba Road. The cleanup operation focused on areas after Nugbo, extending to the railway in Boji-Boji Owa, Agbor.

This initiative aligns with the Board’s ongoing commitment to improving sanitation, preventing environmental hazards, and promoting effective waste management practices.

Hon. Igbenije Cosmas highlighted the need for community involvement in sustaining a cleaner environment. He urged residents to adopt responsible waste disposal habits and support the government’s sanitation programs.

The DSWMB continues to prioritize efficient waste management across Delta State and calls for public cooperation to foster a cleaner and healthier society.
