It is here that we find a leader whose reign has brought prosperity, unity, and progress to the land – His Royal Majesty, Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam.
Since ascending to the throne in March 2018, Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam has led Illah with wisdom, compassion, and a deep commitment to the well-being of his people. Born on October 3, 1939, to Mr. Jugai Enechaziam, he was destined for greatness from an early age.
The Local Government Chairman, Honorable Esewezie Innocent, welcomed His Excellency, Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Deputy Governor of Delta State, who represented His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to present the Staff of Office to His Royal Majesty, Obi Sylvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam on the 6th of April, 2022.
Educated at the prestigious University of Jos and Ahmadu Bello University, where he studied Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam’s thirst for knowledge and dedication to excellence laid the foundation for his remarkable career. He retired as a Principal Research Officer with the National Cereals Research Institute (NCRI), leaving a legacy of innovation and expertise in his field. Affectionately known as S. O Jugai, he was loved by all cadres.
In his personal life, Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam is a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, Obugu-Eze, Rose Mazi Enechaziam-Jugai, and a proud father of seven accomplished children, all graduates of various universities. Their achievements stand as a testament to his values of education and empowerment.
As the successor to Obi Christopher Akazue Gbemudu, Obi Slyvester Olisadunkwu Jugai-Enechaziam has embraced his role with grace and humility, honoring the traditions of the Illah Kingdom while steering it towards a brighter future. Under his reign, Illah has flourished, witnessing unprecedented growth and development.
