The Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA has congratulated Chief (Dr) Oluyomi Abayomi Finnih on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
In a birthday congratulatory letter addressed to Chief Finnih, the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District in the National Assembly extolled the Octogenarian as an accomplished medical consultant and political icon whose has contributed immensely to the development of Lagos State.
Senator Tokunbo noted that Chief Dr. Finnih brought excellence to bear when he served in the Lagos State Ministry of Health for many years before venturing into private practice.
Senator Abiru wrote, “On behalf of my family and the entire good people of the Lagos East Senatorial District, I heartily congratulate you on the occasion of your 80th birthday.
‘Sir, you are an exceptional political leader who has contributed immensely to the progress of Lagos as a distinguished member of the prestigious Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC). You are indeed a huge asset to the progressives.
“Chief, you have lived a life worthy of emulation. I am proud of your outstanding achievements in the medical profession as an accomplished Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
“The same excellent service you have delivered to the people of Lagos as a Consultant in the Lagos State Ministry of Health is also the hallmark of your private practice as Medical Director/Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Finnih Medical Centre, Ikeja”.
Sir, as you mark a milestone of 80 today, I pray that Almighty God continues to give you long life in good health and sound mind.
In the same vein, Senator Abiru also celebrated Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson, The Yeye Sewa of Lagos on the occasion of her 66th birthday.
The Senator celebrated Chief Nelson as an astute public administrator, a strong grassroot political figure, who has become a role model to many especially women in politics.
“As an astute public administrator and a strong grassroot political figure, there is no doubt you have become a role model to many especially women in politics. You played your part in the public space with grace, dignity and nobility. Your wonderful contribution to the liberation of women will always be a point of reference.
“All through your public service stint, you sustained your pedigree as a thorough-bred professional in the manner you have conducted your affairs”, Senator Abiru eulogized Nelson on her birthday.
